Choreography Workshop:
Pairs- In this exercise involved us all being in pairs. Partner 'A' picked out a movement for 30 seconds then repeated. (Every 15 seconds a person would turn round and pick their own move). Partner 'B' would turn around after them and do the same task, this exercise was repeated 3 times per person. After completing this exercise the movements were selected and to put into a small motif performed in our pairs, this ended up becoming a routine with only 6 moves all together.
Music- In this exercise we were played 5 types of music that were all very different and then had to make a dance to them. We started by lying down on the floor until we felt the write time in the dance to start and inspired us to improve to it.

Improvisation task:

Oil improve-
For this exercise we pretended and imagining that some sort of oil was running through ever inch of our body.
Morning improve-
We all had to dance out our morning routine and how we think dancing it would look like each step in your morning routine was one improved exaggerated movement.
Folding and unfolding improve-
For this exercise we were told to travel down the room like we her top heavy and could fold in half and make it look almost effortless with our movements.
q&A-
We all had to go in pairs for this exercise. We were made to dance like we were having a conversation with our partner, one person will start off and this will be them making up a small phrase and then it would be up to the other so guess what they were talking about and reply back to them in there own phrase and they 'conversion' would carry on from there.
My Improv
This is my improvisation task i came up with, it was based off scene 10 and the idea of a helper and patient relationship. My task to them was to go in a massive group and move about the room staying in contact with one or more people at a time. Showing the relation and being dependant on each other. This task did not go as i planned as everyone seemed to find it very tricky while staying in a massive group but when a couple of them would split from the group they found it easier to move about actually made it look really effective and pretty. This showed if this was the idea i wanted to go with for my pitch idea i would need to be in a small group or could look really effective as a duo.
This is the classes improvisation tasks, it was really interesting how different everybody's was and that they were based of all different scenes and themes from the play. It was really good for inspiration and how everyone took the play in a very different way to everyone else. This has helped my to think and learn movements that i can use in my number and pitch idea
